Spicy Pasta Sauce Recipe
This is my own recipe for a spicy pasta sauce. I have added some colourful vegetables, making it healthy and delicious, you could add other vegetables if you wish. You can also decide on your choice of mince meat for this recipe. This pasta is also healthy and nutritious for children too, just leave out the chillies, and add more cheese.
Ingredients
500g Mince meat of your choice
3 Onions diced
4 Garlic cloves diced
Handful of Basil
10 Cherry tomatoes chopped
500ml Passata
2-3 Fresh green chillies (you can decide on the amount of chillies used)
2 tablespoons Tomato purée
Salt to taste (you can decide on the amount of salt needed)
1 teaspoon Black pepper
1 teaspoon Chilli flakes ( you can decide on the amount of chilli flakes needed)
1 Carrot diced
8 Mangetout sliced
1/2 Red pepper
1/2 Yellow pepper
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Method
1. In a large pan heat up and pour olive oil.
2. Add your onions and garlic, cook until translucent.
3. Add your minced meat and cover and cook, stirring it from time to time.
4. Add your fresh chillies and vegetables and give it a stir, cover and cook for ten minutes.
5. Add salt, black pepper and chilli flakes and give it a stir cover and cook for at least 5 minutes.
6. Add cherry tomatoes tomato purée and passata and give it a stir cover and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
7. Add your Basil and Oregano and give it another stir.
8. Your pasta sauce is ready to serve with pasta of your choice.
Sprinkle with cheese and serve with garlic bread.
