Zingi Air Fryer Fried Chicken

I must admit that I was apprehensive about frying my chicken in an Air Fryer with only one teaspoon of oil, but oh my god, I'm a believer now. This is my own recipe, and the chicken came out crispy, golden, and crunchy on the outside and moist, juicy on the inside, just like it had been fried. The chicken was cooked in a flash. The chicken test has been passed with flying colours by the Air fryer! I didn't use an egg mixture to double dip these because my seasoning in the flour was already well seasoned. Simply wash your chicken and marinate it in 1 teaspoon of vinegar and half of a lemon's juice for an hour and a half. Your chicken will have an extra-fresh flavour. Try it out and see what happens.

Zingi Air Fryer Fried Chicken

Ingredients

3 chicken breast pieces cut in to large strips

200g plain flour

150 cornflour

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon paprika powder

1 teaspoon red chilli powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon parsley

1 teaspoon black pepper powder

1 teaspoon cooking oil

Method

1. Marinate your chicken with 200mls water, 1 teaspoon vinegar and half a juice of lemon. Set aside for an hour and a half.

2. In a bowl combine your flour, cornflour and all your spices.

3. Dip your chicken strips into the seasoned four. Set aside for ten minutes.

4. Pour one teaspoon of oil into the air fryer.

5. Add your chicken strips. Depending on the air fryer cooking times set to chicken 30 to 40 minutes. Make sure you turn your chicken, so the chicken is cooked evenly on both sides.

Once cooked serve with a fresh salad and chips. Enjoy!
